Epassi has appointed Paola Blundo as Managing Director of Epassi Italia, effective immediately. She succeeds Alberto Perfumo, who founded Eudaimon in 2002 and helped establish corporate benefits as a mainstream business discipline in Italy, before the company joined the Epassi Group in 2023.
"Paola's appointment comes at the right time for our Italian business," said Nickyl Raithatha, Group CEO of Epassi. "Italy is one of our most mature and strategically important markets, and Paola brings exactly the expertise it needs going forward — deep experience in consumer behaviour, health, and human capital. That combination will be central to Epassi Italia's next phase of growth."
Blundo's career spans commercial and marketing leadership roles at L'Oréal and Beiersdorf, benefits and loyalty expertise at Edenred, and most recently the position of Longevity Program Director at CDI (Centro Diagnostico Italiano), where she led programmes at the intersection of preventive health and workforce wellbeing. She holds a degree in economics and an Associate Certified Coach qualification from the ICF.
"Most Italian companies have already answered the question of whether to offer employee benefits," said Blundo. "The harder question is whether those benefits actually work for the people who have them. That's what I'll be focused on at Epassi — cutting the bureaucracy between companies and employees, making benefits genuinely relevant to people's daily lives, and building a real connection between health, prevention, and the overall benefits experience."
Alberto Perfumo will remain on the Board of Directors of Epassi Italia. "Twenty years ago, betting on employee wellbeing was a contrarian idea," he said. "Today, the vast majority of Italian companies have some form of benefits programme in place. I'm proud of how far this market has come, and I'm confident Paola will lead its next chapter with the energy and rigour it deserves."
